on Wednesday Bill and I went for a hike on the nature trails at the Minna Anthony Common Nature Center on Wellesley Island.

while there we decided to stop and rest at the bench overlooking Eel Bay.

Thursday and Friday were really nice, There was hope of spring in the air.
then it snowed last night.

Sorry this is so late, i actually took it this morning. I've been catching up on several years of Schlock Mercenary and it has been a major (but fun) time suck.

Also? it's been snowing all day, so the sky isn't allt eh exciting. ah well.

ok, so I lied, I forgot about the Saturday sky today, that and while the socks are finished I need to get pictures of them on their recipient, who is very busy today, so I won't be able to get pictures until tomorrow.

it was cold this morning.
really cold.
theres a good quarter inch of frost on my car cold.

yet the sky was beautiful, so Cayenne (who enjoys the cold just a little too much) and I braved the weather to get the perfect Saturday sky picture, just for you.

it's been rainy and dreary all day, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to take a picture for today, but it just cleared up for a little bit, everything but this little patch was still dark and grey.

This was taken yesterday.

The St. Lawrence is really low right now due to the lack of rain, and I had gone to the end of the docks out back of the apartment to take some pictures of a small rocky island that had emerged, which the ducks and geese quite like. Then I looked up.

The sky was magnificent and I couldn't pass up the chance at such a beautiful picture.

yeah, i know i haven't posted many since i started back at work, but the sky was quite pretty today and it was pleasantly warm instead of oppressively hot like it has been.

I was struck by the beauty of the clouds in the perfect blue sky.

Bill took this picture last week.
there's a place in Alexandria bay that will take people up in hot air balloons and give them tours of the 1000 islands, I'm bettign this balloon was from there.

although I can't help but think of Lee Scorsby whenever I see a balloon. (Warning, the link contains spoilers for the His Dark Materials books by Phillip Pullman)
